When you fall in love with a property, like we did, anything can happen. Besides the wonderful old house (early 1800s) we gained a turn-of-the-century chicken coop, a large loom, two kilns, a potter's wheel, a massive vegetable garden, blueberry bushes and fruit trees. So instead of sitting on rockers on the wrap-around porch, Leslie, WInston (our dog), and I are exploring all the possible things we can now do.....or learn to do.

The Workshop

Restoration of antique and cherished furniture

Steve trained in the UK at the National School of Furniture located in High Wycombe, the historic center of English furniture manufacture in the 18th and 19th century.  One of the projects completed in the course of his Masters in The Conservation of Furniture resulted in the repair and restoration of a caned and upholstered chair purchased by Queen Mary and now part of the Royal Collection and in Windsor Castle's inventory.  Currently, Steve is working with a number of private clients on the restoration or repair of individual pieces, acquiring specific objects for clients,  and leading a multi-year conservation project for a local homeowners association.
